Job Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be part of the Land Surveying and Mapping Group working primarily indoors in an office
environment. F&A works primarily on large public works projects in the Seattle area, and in this role you will be helping our clients deliver on these important projects. F&A prides itself on having staff that are nimble, versatile and able to wear a variety of hats. We have a dynamic work environment where everyone on the team, including our managers, ‘works in the trenches’ to contribute to the successful completion of our projects. You will work and collaborate daily with Project Surveyors and other office staff on various ongoing projects. Specific job responsibilities will vary depending on qualifications, but may include some or all of the following:
- Work with Professional Land Surveyors to prepare acquisition and easement exhibits and plans in support of construction.
- Prepare reports that document the findings of Quality Control survey work to ensure the Contractor is performing construction in accordance with the approved set of plans.
- Manage and oversee project deliverables to ensure that client expectations are being met.
- Interact and collaborate with office staff regarding project particulars and field related topics.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient with Autodesk Civil3D and/or Bentley Microstation.
- 3+ years of related and linear CAD work experience.
- An Associate’s Degree or completion of a technical trade school in Engineering, Land Surveying, CAD, or a related field.
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering, land surveying or construction.
- Self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to complete assignments quickly and in a timely fashion.
- Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred, but not required.
