GPS: F&A supplements its land surveying capabilities by using GPS equipment and currently has two GPS systems available. The WSRN is a statewide network of Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) and provides the ability to perform state-of-the-art, centimeter-level, real time surveys almost anywhere in Washington and southerly portions of British Columbia.
LIDAR: F&A is also well-versed in performing LIDAR laser scanning to supplement the four robotic total stations on various survey assignments. Our ability to perform rapid and cost-efficient surveys is enhanced by recently addition a video-capable drone that allows full HD video capture for 3D modeling, visualizations, and photogrammetric mapping. F&A’s land surveying group has provided quality service since 1992, working on major projects throughout Washington for clients such as WSDOT, Sound Transit, the City of Seattle, and King County. Most notable has been F&A’s continued involvement with the Sound Transit LINK Light Rail projects. F&A’s familiarity with City of Seattle’s standards and experience working on federally funded projects has increased our efficiency and has proven to be a valuable asset to clients.
