Right of Way Engineering
Furtado & Associates (F&A) creates project base maps and easement exhibits for alignments, including surveying and locating public and private utility infrastructure for utility mapping. F&A also provides topographic surveys of surface features in full detail from intersections, including building lines/corners, traffic striping and pavement markings, as well as location of traffic signal equipment, signal heads, overhead utilities & supports, and overhead trolley wires & supports. F&A also works with designers to pick up survey requests as needed. Services also included underground utility location and potholing surveying.
Recent representative projects on which F&A has provided quality right of way services include: Sound Transit LINK Light Rail (Lynnwood Link, Federal Way Link, North Link, East Link, South Link and Central Link), City of Seattle Duwamish Substation, Seattle DOT 45th Street Viaduct, Seattle DOT Lander Street, Washington DOT I90 Peak Use Shoulder, and Kirkland Greenways. To date, F&A has provided numerous types of right of way services to numerous agencies such as alignments with bearings and distances shown on basemaps and drawings, monumentation, utility locations, temporary construction easements, ALTA survey maps for full parcel takes and Airspace Lease documents for ROW impacts, and documenting all access right of ways, including roadway paving and drainage, intersections, and crosswalks. As the majority of projects are performed for public agencies and in Washington State, all team members are familiar with the relevant standards needed to successfully complete right of way engineering. |
